India has seen a surge in women entrepreneurship. Government and financial institutions have launched dedicated schemes with lower rates, reduced collateral, and simplified processes.
Mudra Yojana for Women
Offers loans up to Rs. 10 lakh without collateral in three categories: Shishu up to Rs. 50,000, Kishore up to Rs. 5 lakh, Tarun up to Rs. 10 lakh. Women get priority processing.
Stand-Up India
Targets women and SC/ST entrepreneurs with loans from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 1 crore for greenfield enterprises. Repayment up to 7 years with 18-month moratorium.
Annapurna Scheme
For women in food catering industry, loans up to Rs. 50,000 for kitchen equipment with 36-month repayment period.
Stree Shakti and Others
SBI Stree Shakti offers 0.50% rate concession. Dena Shakti provides loans up to Rs. 20 lakh at reduced rates. State governments offer additional schemes.
